About the Books

Civil War Leaders and sequel More Civil War Leaders are appropriate for children and adults but are especially well suited for students from mid-elementary through junior high school. Each book features more than three dozen illustrations of a variety of Civil War era leaders from both the North and South. The books include biographies of each leader and a glossary of important terms in the book. The books have been reviewed by the National Park Service and the Civil War Preservation Trust for their historical accuracy. A portion of the profits from this book will be donated to the preservation of endangered American Civil War sites.

Ordering Information

Books are available at over 75 locations or for sale from History Matters Publications, P.O. Box 222, Bellwood, PA 16617. Retailers, schools, or other large groups can take advantage of large volume discounts or purchase individual copies.
