History Matters publishes historic artwork and books for collectors and readers of all ages. Welcome to the website!

Since July 2005, History Matters has published two books entitled Civil War Leaders and More Civil War Leaders. Over 4,000 copies have been sold in that time. The books and cards are available in single copies and larger quantities for retail sale on our website and 75 sites nationwide.

The artwork and books are the productions of Jared Frederick, a twenty-year-old student who completed both books while still in High School. His passion for both art and history is explored in his books and many projects. Please feel free to explore the site and thanks for visiting!
